Cost is $500 for a full day.
Level – Beginner to Advanced
The day usually will consist of us discussing what areas you would like to work on. This can be anything from basic camera functions to editing with Photoshop and Lightroom, shooting with flash, good ways to get people to relax. Literally anything we can think of.
I sometimes will have a model if needed depending on what it is we might be doing. We will go shoot, you and me. After we will grab some lunch at some point and then go look at some of what we did.
I also do not mind looking at some of your work and giving a critique.
These days are very laid back and fun.
Here are some testimonials:
“Hey Chuck,
I wanted to take a minute and thank you again for the One on One session. I don’t know which portion of the day I benefitted more from, but combining them all is going to be a tremendous help to me in the long run. It was funny when you mentioned that by paying you I would save a LOT of money, although I was laughing at the time you are absolutely right! (That should be your slogan! Ha!) Just learning more about my one little flash was worth the price of admission in itself. : )
The posing, the angles, watching backgrounds, composition, the critique, experimenting with the video light, post production… the list goes on. I think what I’m trying to say is “thank you”. Thank you for your candid approach, for making me “think” more about what I’m shooting, asking my why I do what I do. I think that was the best way to get a good (or bad) answer out of me. : ) I felt very comfortable the entire day and lost count of how many times the metaphorical light bulb turned on over my head. Ha!
In all sincerity I greatly appreciate you spending a full day with me, challenging me to be better without ever coming out and saying it. I hope you are able to share your knowledge ( and mutual love for 80′s metal) with many more… the photographic community is a better place with people like you in it!
Look for me to stay in touch, if you’re still offering these in a year I’ll probably be ready for a refresher.
Thank you again!

“Chuck,
I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much I enjoyed your One on Uno session the other day. I really appreciate how much you were willing to work specifically on what I wanted instead of a sticking to a set “lesson plan” for the day. The session shooting with the models was great but my favorite part was the time and attention you gave me while we were just hanging out talking. Though it may not have seemed like it at the time I learned so much from that one day and because of your help I believe that my photography will be much more artistically solid. I’ve been to several workshops and seminars and I’ve never had anyone take the time to give me such a detailed critique of my past work. You were able to find patterns in my work that I had no idea even existed. I’ve already reccomended you to several of my photographer friends and that’s just not something I usually do.
Thanks again Chuck.
